We provide limited financial assistance for breast cancer care and related needs.
Who we serve
St. Mary Parish residents and anyone within the 70380 postal code who is undergoing breast cancer screening or treatment.
What assistance can include
Screening, imaging, biopsy, treatment and reconstructive surgery, as well as travel-related costs, prosthetics, wigs and nutritional support.

ABOUT ROOTS & RIBBONS
Our roots are in local school volleyball fundraisers that began in 2008. Roots & Ribbons was created to keep funds local and help neighbors with breast cancer care.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation serving our community in St. Mary Parish.

In 2008, the Morgan City High School Lady Tiger Volleyball team began the annual Paint the Pit “Pink” match. Local schools, including Berwick High School, Vandebilt Catholic High School, Central Catholic High School and E.D. White, joined in raising funds and awareness through pink T-shirt sales, raffles, donations and sponsorships.
Funds initially went to established organizations, including Susan G. Komen and the Miles Perret Foundation. Because those funds were not guaranteed to stay in St. Mary Parish, Roots & Ribbons was created to raise funds and keep support local.
